Chevron is everywhere and I'm jumping on the trend. I've always like geometric things; circles, squares, trapizoids, whatever. So when I saw the price of Chevron material per yard I was shocked. I thought, I could do this myself. Enter in my old tablecloth. We got it as wedding gift. It was a white table cloth from Crate & Barrel, which we used about, oh, three times. It had noticable stains I could not get out, which is why I decided to use it.
First, I laid the table cloth out on the table, lined the table with painter's tape and procceeded to create the Chevron design. It took a while for me to get it to the point where I was okay with it. I kept lifting up the tape and laying it back down over and over again. Finally, I reached a point where I was ready to paint. I used Tulip Fabric Paint.
It took a little over four hours to tape and paint the table cloth and another four hours for the tablecloth to dry.
