ABOUT ME
I'm an author, editor, and consultant. I also dabble in design. I have a B.A. in English from the University of Illinois with a minor in communications. I've published two children's books, In This World Together and A Most Perfect Day. I've also published several short stories, two zines, and several articles in various publications over the years.
I'm a member of the following associations: Chicago Writers Association, and The Editors of Color.
I'm passionate about words, music, hope, and support. I love working with creative people who want to use their gifts to challenge and change the world in a positive way. I love independent magazines and detailed, custom design. I love to surround myself with beautiful things and people.
I live in Wicker Park, a pretty eclectic neighborhood in the city of Chicago with my husband and son. We live next to the Blue Line train. Our bedroom window overlooks an alley which is surprisingly busy at night.
I'm energized to write and create as much as humanly possible. Lately, I've been reading a lot. I love to read.
I'm currently working on a spoken word series called OMG, two short story books, a novel, and two screenplays.
My goal as an artist is to create honest and good work. I like to inspire others to follow their dreams. I'm an enthusiast who wants to achieve as much as I can before I'm gone.
