The husband and I have a small place; just over 1,000 square feet, but we love it. Often times, I’m trying to figure out where to put things and normally I find hidden crevices in our cabinets. But most often, I find spots under our bed or in our already cluttered closets. Recently, I noticed that when I work, I spread out and this is when the piles grow as tall as Jack’s beanstalk. Okay, not quite so tall, but tall enough for me. What’s a Chicago gal to do? Move and find a bigger place? Only in the land of make believe my friends.
This brings me to the Writer’s Crusade. In our last post we were supposed to reveal a lie, which I most certainly forgot to do. So here it is – yes folks, I have clutter, piles of clutter. *Hides in shame.* Look, it’s not like I’m messy. There is a difference. My piles are organized. I know exactly what’s in them. I just haven’t gotten around to them okay. :S I’ll get around to them eventually. Sheesh. You’re starting to sound like my mother.
In any case, I wanted to bring you some images. Enjoy!
And with that, I have to get back to my writing.
Good luck with yours my friends!

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
You should take a gander at my dining room table right now. I started out with a pile for each class I’m teaching, each class I am taking, and one for recent stories/comments I put through writing group. It is now just one massive pile that the cats think is exclusively for them to lounge on. Every day I look at that mess and decide I would much rather go work on my novel than organize it. 🙂
I hear ya. I rather work on new stuff as well. Some days I think I should just push it all into the garbage and start new. 😮 LOL!
Hey there fellow crusader- checking in with you. Sounds like you have work to do. best of luck!
Your title sort of explains my life ~ 🙂 I’ve got the same problems….bigger house? *wishes* New follower and fellow crusader just (finally) making the rounds. Happy Tuesday!
The space I live in is only 600 square feet.
I know 1,000 sq feet isn’t small, but I wish I had about 100 more square feet. Although, it probably would get filled up with unnecessary junk, so it’s probably good that I have this space. 🙂
That title is *perfect*–“cluttered, not messy.” Please be proud of yourself–your home/piles still look very organized. 😉 I, too, have LOTS of piles. Waiting for the time to come to sort, organize, and store them all. Eventually. Asking myself lately, “So what DO I spend my time on?” I’m either busy, busy, busy…or I’m NOT, at which point I enjoy sitting down, relaxing for a second, perhaps eating, reading, being online–NOT working.
Looks pretty tidy to me – I expand to fit any space and I am geneticly related to a pack rat!!
happy crusading
looks clean to me, too. I am a clutterbug, but I blame it on my kids.
new follower from crusade.
I’m totally a stacker. Our house isn’t much bigger and there’s 4 of us, so it makes my husband crazy, but I can’t seem to help myself.
It doesn’t look messy to me! Stacks of papers and book look lovely.
Aw, thanks guys. I went through a few piles and now I’m now down to two. Woot. I do think piles of books look lovely as well Theresa.
Hi – I have a suprise for you over at my place
I can relate to the clutter. I wish I had more shelves and cupboards and a larger desk! :O)
